چکیده
The characteristics of confined magnetoelastic waves in nanoscale ferromagnetic magnetostrictive waveguides have been investigated by a combination analytical and numerical calculations. presence both magnetostriction inverse leads to the coupling between spin elastic Lamb waves. Numerical simulations coupled system used extract dispersion relations as well their mode profiles.

Guiding, bending, and splitting of electromagnetic waves in highly confined photonic crystal waveguides
We have experimentally demonstrated the guiding, bending, and splitting of electromagnetic ~EM! waves in highly confined waveguides built around three-dimensional layer-by-layer photonic crystals by removing a single rod. Full transmission of the EM waves was observed for straight and bended waveguides. We also investigated the power splitter structures in which the input EM power could be effi...
متن کاملPropagation and dispersion of shock waves in magnetoelastic materials
Previous studies examining the response of magnetoelastic materials to shock waves have predominantly focused on applications involving pulsed power generation, with limited attention given to the actual wave propagation characteristics. This study provides detailed magnetic and mechanical measurements of magnetoelastic shock wave propagation and dispersion. Laser generated rarefacted shock wav...
متن کاملCosmological Waveguides for Gravitational Waves
We study the linearized equations describing the propagation of gravitational waves through dust. In the leading order of the WKB approximation, dust behaves as a nondispersive, non-dissipative medium. Taking advantage of these features, we explore the possibility that a gravitational wave from a distant source gets trapped by the gravitational field of a long filament of galaxies of the kind s...
